Prayer & Evangelism

To My Church family! Psalm 139:1-11  says: You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there;  if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn,  if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. I’m not sure about the rest of the community, but I have felt both busier, as well as less busy in the last few months.  The last few months have also been very lonely for me, as I am sure others have felt the odd sense of loneliness that comes with not going about the normal things like catching up with wider family or friends at a café or over a meal, going to our Sunday services or other ministries within the church. I have found time to walk around in my garden and feel peace.  I have found that in these times (often on a Sunday morning), that I feel so much closer to God while working with the beauty of his creations.  The above passage has rolled over & over my brain & my heart as I have spent time in worship in my garden as well as going about my daily routine throughout the week. I have found it so heartening to know that even in our separation, God is still with us and holding us fast.  So for this week, I have just chosen a couple simple, blessing songs to lead us into the next week. This week I was sent the clip called The Blessing, and I was really touched by this clip. To be honest, it’s the ONE song I felt I was meant to share.  The words are simple, everyone knows them as they are a common benediction and I wanted to leave it as the last song for the morning.  As I sing this song, whenever God brings it to mind, or whenever it comes up on my playlist, please know that I will be praying it over our Church until we can all meet together again. Much Love, Carly Rockliff [paperio_button tz_button_style="button-style7" tz_button_size="btn-medium" tz_button_text="Children's Talk & Activities" tz_button_url="https://dalbybaptist.org/?p=5534" tz_button_link_target="_blank" tz_extra_class="button-sermon" tz_extra_id="" tz_button_rel_nofollow=""][/paperio_button]
